ABP Reminder: Projects over 10 kW AC Require Revenue Grade Meters + Proof

All solar energy systems eligible to earn SRECs through the Illinois ABP must report system production based upon readings from a revenue-grade meter that meets the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Standard. This meter is in addition to the electric meter installed by the local utility to measure the home or business’ electric consumption.

In addition, CSG needs proof of online monitoring access through the revenue grade meter in the form of a photo of the make and model. Remote access meters can be part of a comprehensive PV monitoring system or can be stand-alone, but must have external access granted. This is different than access granted through an inverter.
