As a homeowner, you may be wondering if your power bill will be affected by selling SRECs from your solar system. The short answer is no.

SRECs, or solar renewable energy credits, are an incentive for homeowners who have solar systems to sell any excess electricity they produce back to the grid.

This is separate from the electricity that you use in your home. Your power bill is calculated based on the amount of electricity you use from the grid, not on whether or not you sell SRECs.

So, rest assured that selling SRECs will not impact how much you pay for your monthly electricity bill.
