bill-mead-wmaP3Tl80ww-unsplash.jpgIf you're looking to calculate your SREC capacity, there are a few things to keep in mind. Once you've determined your system is eligible, you can start looking at the size of your solar panel system, as well as its efficiency.

Your system will produce one SREC each time  a megawatt-hour (1,000 kWh) of electricity is produced.

As a general rule, you can estimate the number of SRECs your system will produce by multiplying the size of the system by 1.2.

As an example, a 10-kilowatt system will produce approximately 12 SRECs a year.
