Maryland’s SREC market is seeing a trend of a stable and downward decline. Their current SREC pricing is set at around $57 for RECs that are not expired and is set to decline as the ACP drops. The ACP can be viewed as a soft benchmark for what the REC will be valued at. Maryland’s market is considered established, however, with supply and demand, we can see adjustments in pricing in this undersupplied market. Maryland is also offering SREC payment for all SRECs once the system registration is completed. Any RECs that were produced before system registration are not eligible for payment.
In the future, we are hoping to see new legislation to support more aggressive pricing.
