I live in Virginia, why am I receiving information about the Pennsylvania SREC market?

CSG is partnered with Sigora Solar who installed your solar array. Our company assists homeowners in registering their systems in order to generate solar renewable energy credits (SRECs). Virginia recently passed legislation and changed the net metering requirements that a homeowner must meet in order to sell these credits in the state. Unfortunately, your system does not meet these standards in Virginia, however you can register and sell these credits in Pennsylvania regardless of not residing in the state.

The Pennsylvania Tier 1 Market is at a lower price per SREC, currently, it is around $25/SREC. You will still have all three contract options available to you. In this circumstance, we do recommend the Market-Based Option, which will allow you receive VA Market prices IF there is a change in the requirements which allows your system to qualify.
