Virginia Contract Payment Options

Option 1 - Upfront
This option is a one-time upfront payment. This is a "pre-payment" for 25 years of SRECs. We calculate this payment based on your estimated production for the next 25 years. The price is discounted from the current market price. Payments are made within 45 days of complete registration with any applicable agencies. 

Option 2 - Fixed Price

This option does not have an upfront payment. You are locked in for a set price per REC (listed on your contract) for 3 or 5 years and will be paid annually based on your actual production. You would be paid each year between December and February for the previous year's production.

Option 3 - Market Base
This is for a 15-year term. The timing and payment amounts will fluctuate with the market. We will sell your SRECs (based on actual production) 1-4 times per year. Your payments will be made within 45 days of the REC sale and 7-10% commission will be deducted.
